The Opening Ceremony of the First Global Entrepreneurship Program (GEP) was held in EmLyon Business School in France.

On Sep 12th the opening ceremony of the first Global Entrepreneurship Program (GEP) was held in EmLyon BusinessSchool inFrance. The program started at10 a.m. and the university administrators of the Chinese-French-American sides were at present, together with 65 students from 16 countries.
Deputy Director Patrice from department of graduate affairs, EmLyon BusinessSchool presided over the ceremony and Prof. DELMAR fromEmLyonBusinessSchool, Prof. JEANNET fromBabsonCollegeand Prof. Chongming Wang from College of Management,Zhejiang University delivered speeches respectively. Prof. Chongming Wang showed his appreciation of long-term cooperation with French and American sides in his speech. He also hoped the students cherish the opportunity and work hard to complete their missions. Besides, he suggested to the Chinese students that they should communicate with the foreign students positively to promote the culture exchange between different countries.
Then Prof. Xiaobo Wu, Deputy Dean fromCollege of Management,ZhejiangUniversity signed the agreement with French and American representatives, which meant the first Global Entrepreneurship Program was launched.
At the end of the ceremony Prof. Maode Lai, Vice-president of Zhejiang University made an important speech. He first gave a brief introduction toZhejiangUniversityso that both French and American university administrators could have a clearer picture ofZhejiangUniversity. Then he reaffirmed thatZhejiangUniversitypaid great attention to the program and proclaimed that GEP would receive energetic support from ZJU. In the end he wished all the students academic success and happy life in the next year inChina.
At high noon all the teachers and students took a group photo in the open air, as ended the ceremony.
In the afternoon there was an internal exchange meeting held by the teachers and students ofZhejiangUniversity. They gave a short report on the living conditions and the problems they met to the university administrators. Vice-president Maode Lai and the administrators of theCollegeofManagementexpected the first GEP students that they should study hard, work actively and undertake their own social responsibility to defend Chinese people’s dignity and honor. Another proposition was that they should get used to thinking in English, mingling with the foreign teachers and students and dare question others’ assertion not to be echoes.
After the meeting Vice-president Maode Lai visited the students’ dormitory.
