Zhejiang University ranked the Top three of "University of billionaires"

Zhejiang University, which has partnerships with University of Singapore Technologies Design in training billionaires, ranks the third on the list of “University of billionaires” in China.
In the contest of the number of Billionaire alumni, it seconds only to the best two universities in China, namely Beijing University and Tsinghua University.
A study released last month by Alumni Association Network in China and some local media, showed that there are about 66 billionaires graduating from Zhejiang University, while 79 from Beijing University and 70 from Tsinghua University.
The research report of the survey about 2,000 Chinese billionaires’ Alma Mater revealed that Zhejiang University also had the most generous alumni in China. Each of these rich people has at least 1 billion Yuan in net assets. The researchers authoring this report point out that, the university with good performance in this area is often a comprehensive university which trains not only businessmen but also scientists and politicians.
Dr. YongjunFeng, one of the researchers said, “Zhejiang University is a first-class university, with the first-class faculty and world-renowned scholars. It is a comprehensive university that is famous for cultivating talents and its contribution to science.
He pointed out that the region where the university located also had some impacts. Most of the top ten universities are in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong and other prosperous cities or regions with more business opportunities.
Zhejiang University is located in Hangzhou, the capital of Zhejiang Province which is well-known for entrepreneurial spirit. Prof. JinChen, Deputy Dean of Undergraduate School of Zhejiang University, said,” Zhejiang is well-developed in business and culture, and owns many small and medium companies.”
Zhejiang is famous for the computer and textile industry giants. The richest alumnus of Zhejiang University is JianchengZhou, 45 years-old, the boss of casual clothing brand Metersbonwe which can be seen in every parts of China. Having studied EMBA courses at the Zhejiang University, JianchengZhou ranked 15 in the Forbes China rich list in 2010, with about 3.6 billion U.S. dollars in net asset.
The billionaire alumni also include 50-year-old YongpingDuan, who entered into Zhejiang University in 1978 and created BBK Company. And 34-year-old NingTian, an animal science graduate of the Zhejiang University, becomes the CEO of Panshi Information Technology Company, which sells computers and provides Internet advertising services.
