Prof. WU Zhaohui and Prof. CHEN Jiming elected to the IEEE Fellows Class of 2019

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) released theIEEE Fellows Class of 2019 on Nov. 21. Two professors from ZhejiangUniversity—Prof. WU Zhaohui and Prof. CHEN Jiming—wereelected to be IEEE fellows for contributions to intelligent service computingand for contributions to resource allocation and optimization in wirelesssensor networks respectively.
IEEE, an association dedicated to advancing innovation and technologicalexcellence for the benefit of humanity, is the world’s largest technicalprofessional society. IEEE comprises over 400,000 members in 160 countries.These include computer scientists, software developers, information technologyprofessionals, physicists, medical doctors, and many others in addition toIEEE’s electrical and electronics engineering core. The IEEE Fellow Award is aspecial recognition for members with extraordinary accomplishments in the IEEEtechnical fields. To ensure that the recognition is extraordinary, the totalnumber of recipients each year cannot exceed 0.1% of the total higher grademembership.
