China Scholarship Council(CSC) recently announcedthe first cohort of the 2020 funded International Cooperative Training Programsfor Innovative Talents. With well-prepared application materials and perfecton-site defense performance, all the four programs declared by ZhejiangUniversity were ultimately selected for funding with support from CSC. The fourprograms funded are: "International Research Talent Training program in the Field of Energy" declared by College of Energy Engineering of ZJU, ”DualDoctoral Degree Program Between Zhejiang University and Western University” declaredby College of Civil Engineering and Architecture of ZJU, “Joint Master-PhDDegree Program between Zhejiang University and Moscow Aviation Institute” declaredby School of Aeronautics andAstronautics of ZJU, “The Zhejiang University-University of Edinburgh Institute(ZJE) Dual PhD Degree Programs” declared by International Campus of ZJU.

Since 2014, the China Scholarship Council has established“the InternationalCooperative Training Programs for Innovative Talents”, aiming to better serve the national strategy, toboost the comprehensive reform in the field of education and to promote theconstruction of first-class universities and first-class disciplines, to cultivatemore innovative, compound, urgently-needed talents with international background.The program focuses on supporting cooperation between first-class universitiesat home and abroad, as well as cooperation in advantageous disciplines at homeand abroad. The implementation period of the approved programs is 3 years. TheChina Scholarship Council will provide a scholarship to successful applicantsto cover the international airfare and the living stipend during the fundingperiod.

In 2019, six programs declaredby Zhejiang University have been successfully funded. Other funded programs are"Talents Training Programs between Zhejiang University and The Universityof Toronto" declared by School of Medicine of ZJU, " International Cooperative Training Program forInnovative Talents in QTEM Network " declared by School of Management ofZJU.
