Professor Fang Xingdong served as an expert of UNESCO Information Ethics Working Group

Professor Fang Xingdong, Distinguished Professor of Zhejiang University and Director of Wuzhen Digital Civilization Research Institute, recently joined the Information Ethics Working Group of the Intergovernmental Information for All Programme (IFAP) of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), becoming the first expert from China to join the group. Professor Fang's membership reflects the importance and influence of China in the study of ethical issues in the digital age. As a new member of the working group, Prof. Fang Xingdong will work with other international experts to promote research and solutions to ethical issues of information technology and digital development. His participation will help China further participate in the cooperation in the field of global digital governance, and also provide new ideas and perspectives for the research on ethical issues of global digital technology.
